As we age, our sleep changes: it often becomes lighter, shorter, and less restorative. Many older adults suffer from difficulties in falling or staying asleep and feel tired and exhausted during the day. In this lecture, you will learn why sleep disorders in old age should always be taken seriously and what causes and treatment options exist. The speaker is Dr. Ingeborg Cuvelier, a specialist in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Nutritional Medicine, as well as the lead physician of the Mobile Geriatric Rehabilitation at the Geriatrics Clinic of ViDia Kliniken. The event series 'Well-Informed and Active Living' is a collaboration between the Senior Office and the City Library of Karlsruhe. Target group: all interested parties Registration: no registration required, the number of seats is limited.
