Cosmos Extreme: A Journey into the Invisible Universe
When the lights go out at the Planetarium Karlsruhe, a journey to the most gigantic events of the universe begins. Kilonovae, supernovae, and merging black holes generate energies that stretch our imagination – and leave traces in radiation, neutrinos, and gravitational waves.
The Universe Beyond Visible Light
The event introduces high-energy astrophysics and shows how modern research explores the universe in entirely new areas. X-ray and gamma radiation, radio waves, and so-called ghost particles make cosmic processes visible that optical telescopes alone cannot capture.
Impressive Images and Modern Telescopes
Through impressive animations and real footage, the planetarium show conveys how space telescopes and ground observatories investigate the hottest and most dynamic regions of the cosmos. Highlights include galaxy clusters, supermassive black holes, neutron stars, and supernova remnants.
Experience Astronomy in an Understandable and Atmospheric Way
The event experience combines scientific expertise with an impressive event atmosphere under the planetarium dome. The organization is aimed at adults and children aged ten and over. At the beginning, the current night sky over Karlsruhe is presented live. If conditions allow, telescope observations are possible afterwards.
Important Information for Your Visit
The show lasts about 55 to 60 minutes. Admission begins about 30 minutes before the event starts. As no late entry is possible, punctual arrival is part of the event planning. Due to the limited number of seats, the organizer recommends online booking; remaining tickets at the box office are available only as long as supplies last.
The audience's atmosphere thrives on the mix of scientific precision, immersive images, and the unique ambiance of the planetarium. Those who want to experience cosmic extremes rather than just read about them will find a vivid access to modern astronomy here.
Conclusion
Cosmos Extreme opens the view to a universe that extends far beyond the visible starlight. Visitors can expect a compact, visually strong, and academically sound journey to black holes, supernovae, and the latest methods of space observation. Mark the date now and experience the extremes of the cosmos live at PLANET KA.
