Cloud Walking opens the space for collective theatre
On November 5, 2026, the Culture Kitchen Karlsruhe invites you to Cloud Walking: Inclusive Theatre. This project by Artists Without Borders and the Culture Kitchen is aimed at people with and without disabilities. The focus is on encounter, expression, and the joy of bringing stories to the stage together.
Join in, try out, become visible
Theatre here does not start with a finished text, but with curiosity. Participants develop stories, invent scenes, and explore how body, voice, and presence become theatrical means of expression. The dramaturgy emerges in the collective process – open, playful, and without pressure to perform.
An inclusive production in progress
Under the direction of Ibadete Kadrijaj, who combines acting, directing, and theatre education, as well as Alexandra Walker from acting and theatre education, an ensemble grows together step by step. The stage experience arises from personal ideas, spontaneous improvisations, and the courage to show oneself in front of others.
Theatre atmosphere in the Culture Kitchen
The Culture Kitchen is located in a listed building in the heart of Karlsruhe. This socio-cultural center combines encounters, cultural participation, and citizen-initiated projects. A small stage inside creates the right setting for focused theatre work and immediate audience closeness.
Small group, big expression
The group comprises a maximum of ten people. No prior knowledge is required – just drop by and discover your own expression. The regular meetings take place on Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. The project starts on October 15, 2026, and continues with more dates until December.
Conclusion: Theatre as a common departure
Cloud Walking shows theatre as a lively encounter: Every voice counts, every movement can open a scene, every idea can transform the stage space. Anyone interested in acting, improvisation, and co-creating experiences an open and encouraging theatre project in the Culture Kitchen. Participation is free.
