Hiking together through the Black Forest and experiencing nature
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the Black Forest Association Karlsruhe e.V. invites seniors to a communal hike from the Eyach Bridge to Höfen an der Enz. The meeting point is at the Durlacher Tor at KIT Campus South. The common departure is scheduled for 10:25 a.m. with the S5.
Movement in pleasant company
The hike combines movement, nature experience, and social participation. The pure hiking time is about two hours. Being on the road together creates space for conversations, new acquaintances, and a strengthening community experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Route between Eyach Bridge and Höfen
The route leads from the Eyach Bridge to Höfen an der Enz. The exit is planned at the Eyach Bridge or in Neuenbürg. Hiking poles are mentioned as helpful support and can provide additional safety on uneven terrain.
Common stop at Hotel Ochsen
After the hike, a stop at Hotel Ochsen is planned. Such a break offers the opportunity to rest and engage in sociable exchange. The event thus combines age-appropriate movement with relaxation and encounters.
Important notes for participation
Registration is done through the hiking guide. Meeting point and further organizational details will also be communicated directly by the hiking guide. Access along the S5 is possible up to Pforzheim.
Conclusion: Nature, movement, and encounters
The senior hiking event offers a refreshing day in nature, moderate movement, and the opportunity to be active together with other people. Those who enjoy a guided hike and personal encounters will experience a varied excursion around Eyach Bridge, Neuenbürg, and Höfen an der Enz.
