A path through nature becomes a path inward: During the spiritual creation walk in Karlsruhe's Oberwald, movement, mindfulness, and communal experience are combined. The City Church of Karlsruhe invites you to consciously perceive the beauty of creation and experience the forest with open senses.
On the Way around Erlachsee and Oberwald-See
The route covers about 7 to 8 kilometers on well-maintained paths around Erlachsee and Oberwald-See. Between forest paths, water areas, and the sounds of nature, space is created for quiet, reflection, and a special religious experience. The walk is aimed at people who wish to experience spirituality not just in church spaces but also directly in creation.
Faith Experience in the Open Air
The spiritual creation walk combines physical movement with prayer, perception, and communal exchange. Nature becomes a space for experiencing gratitude, wonder, and the question of human responsibility for the environment. In case of severe weather or heavy rain, the hike will not take place. At the end, there will be an opportunity to gather at the Zwitscherstube, a Greek restaurant. Thus, the walk concludes in a sociable atmosphere with space for encounters.
