Dive into the wonderful world of the library with pictures
A cozy family experience awaits children aged five and older at the storytime with Kamishibai at offerta. The City Library Ettlingen invites you to a lively picture book story where children can marvel, listen, and discover the world of books together with their families.
A story full of curiosity and discoveries
The focus is on the picture book Pippilothek? A Library Works Wonders by Lorenz Pauli and Kathrin Schärer. The story shows in a child-friendly way what treasures await in a library and how exciting reading together can be. Large-format images make the storytelling particularly vivid and support an age-appropriate learning experience.
Kamishibai: Reading becomes picture theater
In Kamishibai, read text passages alternate with large-format picture cards. Children experience the action with their eyes and ears. The calm atmosphere promotes concentration, language development, and imagination. At the same time, a shared family experience with children's laughter, wonder, and many little opportunities for conversation arises.
Creative conclusion with self-made bookmark
After storytime, children can create their own bookmarks. This provides them with a personal memento of their visit. The creative crafting strengthens fine motor skills and invites the continuation of the joy in books even after the event.
A child-friendly program item at offerta
The event takes place in the Reading Forum in Hall 3 of the Messe Karlsruhe. The short duration from 15:00 to 15:30 fits well into a varied trade fair day and offers families a concentrated, lovingly designed break. The target audience is children aged five and older.
Conclusion: Reading together, marveling, and being creative
The storytime with Kamishibai combines reading, visual storytelling, and crafting fun into a warm family experience. Children discover the library as a place full of stories, images, and their own ideas. Families enjoy quality time with learning fun and should experience this special program item live at offerta.
