LESEKATER invites babies and toddlers to a cozy reading fun
When little hands eagerly reach for picture books and the first rhymes echo through the room, a loving family experience begins at the Children's and Youth Library in Karlsruhe: The reading cat invites children aged 0 to 3 years to a relaxed crawling group focused on language, rhymes, and stories.
Listen, browse, and marvel together
At LESEKATER, the youngest visitors discover books with all their senses. Together, they listen, browse, sing, and play. The varied mix creates a child-friendly learning experience that awakens joy in language and accompanies the first encounters with picture books.
Age-appropriate language support with lots of closeness
Rhymes, songs, and recurring stories support early language development in a playful way. Babies and toddlers experience how words sound rhythmically, how pictures tell stories, and how shared reading creates closeness. For parents, valuable time together is created in a calm, inviting atmosphere.
A safe place for little book fans
The event is specifically aimed at children aged 0 to 3 years. The Children's and Youth Library offers barrier-free access, barrier-free restrooms, and a changing room or changing table. Thus, families find important prerequisites for a relaxed visit with small children.
Conclusion: Early joy in reading starts together
LESEKATER combines children's laughter, learning fun, and first reading moments into a special family experience. Those who want to explore language, picture books, and music with their child will experience a short, lovingly designed break full of curiosity and closeness in Karlsruhe. Participation is free of charge, and registration is required.
