Trio Sfera brings SILENT SONGS live to Karlsruhe

When classical music, jazz, improvisation, and poetry intertwine, a concert evening beyond musical categories emerges: On Friday, November 6, 2026, Trio Sfera presents the album SILENT SONGS at the Hemingway Lounge Karlsruhe. The three musicians Fany Kammerlander, Norbert Nagel, and Jo Barnikel open an atmospheric sound space full of sensitivity, warmth, and surprising turns.

Between Cello Bow, Clarinet, and Piano

Fany Kammerlander shapes the ensemble sound with her warm, versatile cello playing. Her instrument carries the melodies with great emotional depth, adds dark tones, and gives the compositions an almost narrative tension. Norbert Nagel expands the spectrum with clarinet, bass clarinet, and saxophone. His timbres range from velvety and chamber-musical to jazzy, shimmering impulses.

At the piano, Jo Barnikel combines classical sensitivity with stylistic openness. His accompaniment creates harmonic spaces in which the music can move freely. Precise synchronization, nuanced orchestration, and spontaneous improvisation meet a transparent stage performance that makes every detail audible.

Music Without Borders

Trio Sfera emerged from the long-standing collaboration between Fany Kammerlander and Jo Barnikel in the Konstantin Wecker Ensemble. Together with clarinetist and saxophonist Norbert Nagel, a classically formed trio developed that consciously transcends musical boundaries. Classical reference points, jazz, world music, and original compositions meet in sensitive arrangements and personal sound poems.

The debut album SILENT SONGS stands for music that is not dependent on grand gestures. Calm passages, poetic melodies, and rhythmic surprises alternate. The expression arises from interaction: from the breath of the woodwinds, the resonance of the cello, and the clear, agile piano lines.

An Evening for Attentive Listening

The Hemingway Lounge provides an intimate setting for this concert experience. The audience sits close to the stage and experiences the music in an immediate live atmosphere. Between warm lounge ambiance, chamber musical acoustics, and concentrated audience mood, an evening unfolds that invites listening, discovering, and resonating.
