The Stars bring their indie pop reboot to Karlsruhe
On November 5, 2026, the Jubez in Karlsruhe will transform into a meeting place for German-speaking indie pop, pointed lyrics, and uncompromising stage energy. The Stars will present their new album on the If It's Love Tour 2026 and combine familiar sound colors with surprising twists.
Between Indie Pop, Post-Punk, and Riff-Rock
The new album If It's Love does not sound like a mere repetition of past successes. The band opens its typical Stars sound to English-language songs, post-punk influences, and new vocal perspectives. On two tracks, Dyan Valdés takes the lead vocals and adds a distinctive additional color to the musical drama.
Frank Spilker analyzes the zeitgeist
With the single I Do Not Accept the Office, The Stars are relying on a powerful guitar riff, a driving beat, and a deliberately edgy stage performance. Frank Spilker describes the song as riff-rock and focuses on the renaissance of the irrational, the loss of argumentative debates, and a social escalation that increasingly turns to violence. The band translates political observation into precise, ironic, and musically powerful pop moments.
A concert experience with over 30 years of history
Since the early 1990s, The Stars have been one of the defining voices of German-speaking pop. Their hallmark remains the combination of intelligent social analysis, poetic sharpness, and dry humor. At Jubez, these qualities meet a concentrated club atmosphere: clear guitars, springy rhythms, pointed direction of dynamics, and an audience mood that shifts between singing along, dancing, and attentive listening.
Live at Jubez Karlsruhe
The concert will take place at Jubez on Kronenplatz, an established cultural center in Karlsruhe for live music, cabaret, theater, and social exchange. Doors open at 19:30, with the concert beginning at 20:30. The event is expected to last until 22:30. Tickets are available from 31.80 euros.

The Stars connect classics of their quirky indie pop cosmos with fresh material from If It's Love on their 2026 tour.
