35 Years of Folk-Punk with ACROSS THE BORDER at Substage Karlsruhe

ACROSS THE BORDER will celebrate their 35th band anniversary on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Substage Karlsruhe. From 7:00 PM, the formation from Remchingen will transform the hall into a high-energy Folk-Punk meeting point. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the event is open to ages 16 and up.

Violin, Accordion, and Punk Energy

Since their founding in 1991, ACROSS THE BORDER has been combining folksy melodies with edgy punk, political stance, and a great desire for communal celebration. Violin, accordion, guitar, bass, drums, and distinctive vocals create an unmistakable sound that balances depth and party anthems.

Catchy Songs and Clear Messages

Central pieces include I can't Love this country, Their last crusade, and The night is not just for sleeping. The band combines socially critical lyrics with catchy refrains and a stage performance that emphasizes immediate audience interaction. Between folk orchestration, driving rhythm sections, and raw vocals, an intense live atmosphere is created.

Anniversary Concert with Special Guests

ACROSS THE BORDER will be supported by Big Bag of Sticks and The Krusty Moors. The concert promises a diverse evening of folk-rock, punk energy, and multiple generations of regional live music. At Substage, an established Karlsruhe club for rock, punk, metal, and alternative sounds, the long band history meets the immediate dynamics of a packed concert hall.
