Murzarella brings belly singing and puppet comedy to the Karlsruhe stage

When a canal rat dreams of a world career, a cockatoo crows for the spotlight, and a diva demands her grand appearance, Murzarella is not far behind. On Sunday, November 1, 2026, the multiple award-winning singer will perform her musical puppet comedy Belly Songs ... into the second round at the Sandkorn Theater in Karlsruhe.

Live sung, surprisingly pointed

Murzarella combines the art of ventriloquism with real belly singing. The voices of her puppets are created live on stage – without playback and without a safety net. This ensures an unusual laughing experience, where audience reactions swing between disbelief and hearty laughter.

Kalle, Dudu, and Mrs. Adelheid want to rise

The down-to-earth canal rat Kalle, the cheeky cockatoo Dudu, and the capricious diva Mrs. Adelheid have had enough of just shining alongside Murzarella. They dream of the grand stages of the world and share their international casting experiences. With the intern Leonie, a new voice joins the ensemble – and suddenly the hierarchy behind the scenes is thrown into disarray.

Stand-up energy meets musical puppet theater

The show thrives on precise timing, rapid role changes, and direct interaction between the ventriloquist and the puppet characters. Music cabaret, stand-up elements, and puppet theater merge into a turbulent stage performance. Each character has its own humor, its own voice, and apparently very unique career plans.

Award-winning comedy with a strong stage presence

Murzarella, aka Sabine Murza, has been awarded, among others, the Special Prize of the Tuttlinger Krähe, the Promotion Prize of the Neue-Rhein-Zeitung, and the Golden Osen. Additionally, there are several small art awards as well as TV appearances on ARD, SWR, and NDR. This mix of musical talent, comedic expertise, and confident stage presence makes the show a special occasion for fans of cabaret, live comedy, and unusual voices.

Conclusion: An evening with voices that no one sees coming

At the Sandkorn, the audience can expect an energetic puppet comedy show with live-sung numbers, pointed dialogues, and a hefty dose of stage chaos. Those who want to see how a puppet flat shares its own casting show should see Murzarella live – because these voices definitely do not come from a can.
